02) What was your dream growing up?
To be a journalist. And find out I was actually adopted.
03) What talent do you wish you had?
I would love to play a musical instrument, preferably piano or guitar.
04) If I bought you a drink what would it be?
Chardonnay.
05) Favourite vegetable?
Almost all of them. Raw would be carrots; cooked is a 3 way tie between spinach, snow peas and Brussels sprouts.
06) What was the last book you read?
I'm currently in the middle of Anthony Bourdain's latest.
07) What zodiac sign are you?
Gemini
08) Any Tattoos and/or Piercings? Explain where.
2 ear piercings, 2 closed over ear piercings (hey, I was a child of the 80s!). Old school cherries on the inside of both ankles, a Celtic knotwork raven on my lower back and a truly horrible one on my right hip that I am GOING to get covered someday.
09) Worst Habit?
I drink milk directly out of the carton when no one is watching.
10) If you saw me walking down the street would you offer me a ride?
Of course.
11) What is your favourite sport?
I live with a sports fiend (ugh), but I will admit that I have developed an affinity for college basketball (it helps when you live in Chapel Hill and serve food to the players on a regular basis. They're really sweet boys)
12) Do you have a Pessimistic or Optimistic attitude?
Not only is the glass half full, it's really pretty. :)
13) What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator with me?
Probably talk your ear off while trying not to have a panic attack.
14) Worst thing to ever happen to you?
Losing custody of my boys.

I tell myself stories when I can't sleep. Been doing it since I was a wee one. I may be the original Mary Sue. ;)

No. Although I do have a band of rowdy and overfed starlings who threaten to go Hitchcock on me if they don't get fed the minute I come downstairs to make coffee.

I'd welcome you in, apologize for the mess, and shovel my latest pile of reading off the "good chair" and ask what you'd like to do for the day.

Interesting.

Really, really creepy. There is a REASON why serial killers paint them.
20) If you could change one thing about how you look, what would it be?
This may sound egotistical, but nothing, really. Unless I could keep my pale skin without spending a million dollars on sunscreen a year.

Far be it from me to be the voice of reason. Besides, partner in crime is somuch more fun.

Greenish-blueish-greyish. Very ish.

Yup.
24) Bottle or can soda?
No soda. I indulge occasionally (like, 5 times a year), but that's about it. I think it is usually in bottle form.
25) If you won $10,000 today, what would you do with it?
Hire a taxi, go out to University Mall and buy a wedding dress! After that, buy tickets to 1) go see Kent's dad (and go to Dragon*Con!), 2)fly my SiL home from Guatemala 3)go to NJ for Ashe's birthday and do it up right.
Anything left over would go towards the honeymoon in Maine Kent and I are planning on having eventually.

When I'm not wasting it on LJ and FB? Read, embroider, crochet, watch really bad reality tv.

My dad was a Marine. In which language would you like me to impugn your mother's honor?

People who walk up to the register while on their cell phone, and then shush me when I ask for their order. Finish the phone call first, damnit! I have a job to do here! (Yeah, this is a bit of a sore spot for me)

Quirky.

Yes and yes.
33) Favourite and least favourite food?
Least favorite is easy. My mom used to make this casserole with boxed au gratin potatoes, canned peas and leftover ham. It was truly foul. One of the most gratifying moments of fleeing the nest was realizing I would never have to eat that again!
Favorite is harder. Although lemon-ricotta pancakes with blueberries comes pretty close. Or tuna noodle casserole. Or really spicy pulled pork BBQ. Or...I need to shut up now, or I will devour the contents of the fridge.

Have a tribute tattoo on my left shoulder blade symbolizing my kids. Have a scorpion on my right bikini line b/c I'm a Scorpio.
