I just downloaded a little app that let's me update my journal on my iTouch.

I'm such a geek.

There's also a nice Facebook app out there, too.

Dare I ask how accurate the location tag is for you? Mine isn't too accurate when I use it, but I'm usually in a dense area when I use it.

I downloaded the Facebook app a few days ago - very nice!

The location tag - now that I look at it - is actually a little TOO accurate. I'm not sure I want that information broadcast every time I post using that app. I will have to see if I can find the switch that turns it off.

Yeah, I'd rather this app posted my location as "Ithaca, New York," rather than the precise missile targeting coordinates. :-)

The original iPhone's location feature is based on nearby "visible" Wi-Fi networks and cell towers, and the iPod touch's location feature is based solely on nearby "visible" Wi-Fi networks. In both cases, the Wi-Fi networks have to be "known" networks, but you can submit the location of Wi-Fi networks you're often around if you want your location to be findable.
