The debate - quick impression

Just one little bit tonight because it is late and I am beat. 

McCain was a nasty, rude SOB and Obama was far too gracious.  He needs to stop saying "I agree with John" and point up the differences between them more.  And he needs to NOT let McBush get away with crap like saying he loves veterans and will take care of them when it is well known that he has a lousy record when it comes to veterans affairs.

I guess it was a draw.  I'll think on it more and write tomorrow.  Now, to bed.

The one thing that really bothered me was that McCain never looked at Obama during the debate. He either stared in the camera or at the moderator.

Trying to butter up the voters McCain? You did not do a very good job!

Another thing that really bothered me about McCain was that not only did he not look at Obama as you point out, but that he continued to smirk and grin completely inappropriately and showing a total lack of respect for Obama. I hope the press fries him on this. He looked like an immature jackass.

I thought McCain looked like he was going to lose his temper at several points, and he looked uncomfortable up there to me. The eye contact thing was very noticeable.
I don't think the debate changed any minds, though.
