Wonderful Day

My daughter is home from college for 10 days and we had such a great time today.  We bummed around the city and had a ball.  I took her to Macy's Herald Square - she'd never been.  She was blown away by the size of it.  And we actually found a great paid of Calvin Klein jeans for her on sale!  Then we went down to the East Village and found some funky fun stores to wander in.  She has picked up knitting at college and we went to a great yarn store.  She bought some yarn so she can knit me a light Spring scarf.  We had lunch at Two Boots Pizza - yummmm - and then we went uptown to a salon so she could get her eyebrows done.  After that we wandered over to Bryant Park and got some cups of tea and talked.  Headed for home on the train and now we're relaxing before the evening's activities.

I am so happy she's home.  I miss her when she's at school.  We're pretty close for a mom and daughter and I am very grateful for that.
