Some people are SOOOO effing rude!! Most of the time - 99.999% of the time, in fact - the people I train in my sessions are really nice, polite, friendly and interested. I just did a session with a group that were the polar opposites!! Rude, nasty, condescending and downright obnoxious!!!

Fortunately, I brought pie in today and I invited my group into my office at 4:15 for Pie Day. Pie will make things better, even if I don't have any.

I just got a very disturbing phone call and I am completely at a loss.

We've had a cleaning service come and take care of the house every 2 weeks for over 3 years now. It's 2 guys - Henry and Walter - and they've been great. We trust them completely. They have their own key to our house and they come and go when they need to. They even take care of the cats when we go away for a week. Never had a problem. I've recommended them to many people.

Well, I recommended them to a woman online from a local group I run. The guys went to her house in August while we were away in Vermont and then Henry called me in a panic. She was accusing them of stealing and he had no idea what was going on and he was hysterical. Then he called me back a day or so later and said that everything was fine, she had called them and apologized. Evidently a gas company meter reader was in the neighborhood and her neighbor was missing items too. They went back to clean her house again and all seemed OK.

I just got a call from the woman's daughter. Evidently, Walter has been arrested and charged with theft. He took a large quantity of gold jewelry from her home and pawned it at a local shop. You have to sign your name for this so it was pretty easy to trace it back to him. On their second visit to her house, she had all her silverware and dishes out for the Jewish New Year and he/they took a set of demitasse spoons and some silver plates and possibly other items as well. He not only stole the jewelry, he cut it up which I don't understand at all. She sent me the pictures and the emails from the Nassau County police detective working on the case. It's just awful.

I know they told us that their dog had been very sick and they had a huge vet bill. I can only imagine that this was an act of desperation, a stupid one. The daughter told me that she did a background check on them before she had them come to her mother's home and they were clear - no previous arrests.

I am just heartsick. They are supposed to come on Thursday to do my house. Clearly I don't want them to come. David and I both realize that we've kept cash in our night stand drawers and at various times we've thought that the amount was a little short, but we thought that we just didn't remember the amount we had correctly. Now we're not so sure.

I really don't know how to handle this one. I don't want to a grown up here.
