Writer's Block: Paint the town green

Sad to say, but I do not have good associations with St. Patrick's Day. While I love the color green and I do love Irish culture and would dearly love to visit the Emerald Isle, here in the NYC metropolitan area, March 17th has come to mean commuting with huge hordes of drunken idiots who start drinking early and keep going all day. I have been thrown up on, slept on and other unpleasant events on this day. My office is also too close to Parade Central, being 2 blocks away from 5th Avenue and right next to Grand Central Station. Last year it was pretty awful, so this year I decided to work from home today.
Good decision.
