Is is because the kids have been away for 3 months and are coming home soon? Is it because the holidays are almost upon us, with my favorite one coming next week? Am I just being extra hormonal? I don't know, but I seem to be carrying my emotions up high and available lately. This isn't necessarily a bad thing - I'm not falling into hysterics or punching anyone. I seem to be feeling everything more strongly lately and for me, that is saying something since I am usually pretty free with my emotions anyway.

Well, whatever the reason I guess I'll just roll with it. I like feeling more intensely and I am definitely INTENSE right now.

Two things are at the top of my emo-meter at the moment. As the title of this post suggests, there is a dog who needs help. Lauren, Aaron's girlfriend, is going nuts trying to find a new home for her 2.5 year old pitbull mix. Lucky is a sweet dog but she is very energetic and probably needs more training. Lauren's mom is in the hospital now - has been for a month and won't be home for another month. When she does come home her doctors have stated most emphatically that she cannot have Lucky at home anymore. Lucky is just too much for Lauren's mom to handle and Lauren works 2 jobs, so she just isn't home enough to give Lucky enough attention. We've all called all the shelters we can find and all of them are saying that they don't have much room. Lauren's mom thought she had a family who would take Lucky but they backed out. I wish I could take the dog but we're home even less than Lauren so that wouldn't work. I keep searching and hoping and making calls. If anyone here knows of any resources please let me know.

The other thing is a story I read in the paper today. Who sets a food bank kitchen on fire? Especially one that is loaded with food to make Thanksgiving dinner for hundreds of hungry people? This story upset me SO much this morning, I almost caused a scene on the train. WHO DOES SOMETHING LIKE THIS?? I sent the charity a donation this morning and I'm going to call them and see if we can volunteer to help. If any of you good people want to help out, here is the information:
