Calling Roto-Rooter
Feb. 25th, 2009 10:32 amSo I saw the GI doctor last night and told him about my 60 hours of weird. His reaction can basically be described as concerned urgency. He said that based on the fact that I do not appear to have any other symptoms that might indicate something serious, it doesn't sound like I should be too worried. However, he wants to get in there and take a look around as soon as possible.
I am scheduled for the procedure at 7:15 AM on Friday morning. Yee fucking ha. The prep for this thing is so arduous that my boss suggested I either take tomorrow off or work from home if I want because coming into the office would make things difficult. His wife went through this and he remembers how yucky it was. So that's what I'll do. I can log in from home and work on my stuff while I have my clear liquids and take the disgusting mixture I'm supposed to drink. Blech.
If David can't take the day off on Friday to drive me - since I'll be under anesthesia I can't drive myself home - Laura (the SIL) said she could come out on Thursday night and sleep over so she can be here.
What will be, will be. I'm trying not to worry too much.
