I love quiet Saturdays
Nov. 1st, 2008 10:09 amSo peaceful. Sarah is off with her dad, Aaron is still sleeping off his late (REALLY late!) shift at the Bayville Scream House - he is the captain of the Pirate Zombies - and the house is quiet and peaceful. Yes, I have things I need to get done today but nothing so pressing that I have to make a mad dash for the door.
Things with David's sister, Laura, are working out pretty well actually. She's funny and nice and has been making an effort to help out around the house during the day since she isn't working at the moment. She did a batch of our laundry yesterday which was very nice. She's managed to get her NY driver's license, get registered with an employment agency that specializes in placing teachers in private schools and get herself a bicycle too. She's rented a car so she can go down to Pennsylvania and help get out the vote for Obama on Election Day. And she's taking us to dinner tomorrow night before she leaves for PA. Sarah really likes her and she likes having someone home in the afternoon when she gets home from school.
So, all in all, things are going ok with that, despite a slightly rocky start and my nerves.
I should get moving and put some clothes on. The gym awaits, as does the grocery store.
Happy November 1 everybody!
Remember to VOTE on Tuesday!
