Home Alone
Oct. 9th, 2008 07:45 pmWell, not exactly all alone. The kids are here and the cats are here, but David has flown off to Texas to visit his mom. He won't be back until Tuesday night. I saw him off at Jamaica Station at the AirTrain this afternoon. I hate it when he goes away.
I know he wants to see his mom and I think it is great that they are close. He'll get a chance to see his brother and sister-in-law as well, which is good because otherwise they don't keep in touch at all. But I miss him so much when he's gone. I just always feel like part of me is missing. True, I get to hog the bed and watch whatever I want on TV for a change and stuff like that, but I really love his company and it seems so lonely when he's not here.
I have to go to work tomorrow and Tuesday without him which also sucks. I love our commute together, our morning routine.
I will be breaking up the weekend with another college road trip with Sarah. On Sunday we're driving up to Connecticut and spending the day hanging out and exploring and looking at foliage. On Monday we're going to take the campus tour and attend the open house for Weslyan College. They have a terrific bachelors degree program in creative writing and Sarah is very interested, even if it is a non-Vermont school. It should be pretty and fun.
So he'll be back before I know it and he'll call me every day and probably text message me a lot too... he already started from the airport. But in the meantime, I'll be missing him.
O, here's what we were doing last weekend.
