People are definitely strange

There was a man on the subway reading this book this morning.  Calmly reading it as though it was a novel of earth-shattering importance.  It seemed a little off to me somehow.  Not that I am a vegetarian or anything, but reading a manifesto on various cuts of meat just seemed a little bloody for first thing in the morning.

Was he preparing for a large BBQ?  After all, it is almost Summer and I suppose people need to be up on these things before they start slapping just anything on the grill.  Perhaps I have been listening to too much Steven Sondheim, but images of Sweeny Todd were drifting through my mind.

The mind reels.

Well, enough about meat.

It's nice to know that friends survive and continue even when they haven't been in touch.  I miss my Crow [personal profile] cuervolinda since she moved all the way across the country but after checking her journal this weekend, it seems she is very much alive and well and carrying on the good fight.  I miss the former Otis_Otis [profile] the_real_otis as well, but I have learned that he has a new name and a new blog.  So life goes on and you can get caught up with people.  The inernet is a wonderful and mysterious thing.

Hmm... I want a steak now.  Damn.
