I've posted these over at FaceBook but I wanted to memorialize the event here as well.  She looked beautiful, the weather cleared enough so that we could take pictures in the sunshine and everything came together.  Now I'm just praying that we don't get any rain on Sunday for her graduation.

My baby... she's all grown up.

Life is all about Sarah right now.  She is taking her last exam ever for high school even as I type this - in fact, she might be done already.  Tomorrow is The Prom - the all important thing that has been consuming her and her friends since their senior year began.  We picked up her dress last Saturday.  It fits perfectly and looks lovely - I knew we made the right choice, even though it was the first dress she tried on.  Tomorrow I am taking the day off so that I can be her chauffeur and take her to all of her various beauty appointments.  Manicure and pedicure at 9:30 AM, make-up at 1 PM and hair at 2 PM.  Then at 5:30 they will congregate at her friend Heather's house for the pre-prom party and for the limo pickup.  Yes, she and 9 of her friends are all going in a limo.  This was my contribution to the festivities - no, I'm not paying for the whole thing!!  It cost $900!!  But I did make the reservation, collect the money and take care of the payments.  The prom is at a country club on the ocean not too far from where we live.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate, although I am not holding out a lot of hope.  There are rumors that London is asking for its weather back.  After the prom there is an "after party" run by the school.  Why?  I don't know.  I guess so no one goes running around afterwards and gets hurt.  Then they are sleeping over at another friend's house and all going to school on Friday morning.  At 11 they have their graduation rehearsal and receive their caps and gowns.

Saturday she has her first EVER date with an actual guy.  This is a momentous thing folks.  She was perilously close to finishing her entire public school career without ever having been asked out by anyone.  But a guy she's been talking to for about 6 weeks or so (he's from another school) asked her to go to a graduation party with him on Saturday afternoon.  She's been in a tizzy ever since.  It's very exciting.

Saturday night, after said momentous date, she is going to a concert with a friend.

And then on Sunday we have the actual graduation from high school.  I plan on crying.  No getting around it.

Then on July 5th we are holding her graduation party.  It will be a joint party with her friend Gabby.  Since they wanted to invite all of the same people it seemed to make sense to do a joint party.

O, and somewhere in all this it almost got lost that tomorrow is also my 4th anniversary with David.  I'll have to plan a nice dinner at home.

Whew... I'm looking forward to being a little bored someday.
